With increased complaints voiced by parents and staff about HVAC issues at various Plano ISD campuses, it was not surprising that HVAC equipment was a part of the 2022 Plano ISD Bond that was approved.

Apparently, the funding voters approved in that bond wasn’t enough.

At the October 1, 2024 Plano ISD Board Meeting, the Trustees approved a donation of Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Rooftop Units (RTU’s) and Split Systems by Guidehouse, Inc.

Hmmm…

Guidehouse, Inc. is a corporation in the Washington, DC area that provides consulting services to government agencies.

Hmmm…

Why is a government consulting firm providing HVAC units to Plano ISD?

Hmmm…

Since donations over $10,000 require approval from the Plano ISD Board of Trustees and therefore appear on the public-facing agenda, it’s almost as if Plano ISD is providing proof that this donation has been made.

Hmmm…

Pay for play? Kickback?
